There's an old saying in the software business. Sometimes a new product is released, but other times, it escapes. Well, in the case of STUPEFYING STORIES, Volume 1, Number 1 (a.k.a., the October issue), this has definitely been more of an escape than a release.
All the same, this morning, it gives me great pride, pleasure, and more than a little relief, to announce—
STUPEFYING STORIES has escaped!

On a purely personal note, I just want to give a huge shout-out here to Kersley, Henry, Vidad, Karen, and especially to M, for going far beyond the calls of both duty and friendship to get this one out. And I must say, thanks largely to M's last-minute intervention, I am simply astonished by how good this thing looks!
As for the somewhat less than perfect launch: I'm not bothered by it, as I expected this. It's my software industry experience, I suppose; I figured it would take us about three months to find and fix most of the bugs in our launch process. Frankly, I am astounded by how well we are doing at this point.
There's another old saying in the software business: "Never buy the point-zero release." I think in this case, you can safely ignore that advice—but waitaminnit, it doesn't apply here, anyway! Volume 1, Number 1?
Buy STUPEFYING STORIES 1.1, now on sale wherever fine ebooks are sold!
Okay, one more time: a round of applause for M, Henry, Kersley, Vidad, and Karen.
And now, folks, let's let the readers focus their attention on the authors and the stories. We've got a November issue to get out...
