And now for our new lesser Friday Challenge:

I Still Want My Flying Car

Great news! The flying car is real and all the major car manufacturers are scrambling to get their model to market first. Several of the manufacturers are considering rebranding old model names for their first flying car. Toyota feels that Tercel -- a word meaning male hawk or peregrine -- would be the perfect name for their sport model. Dodge is considering bringing back the Dart as a long and narrow two-seater. Ford has already announced their first release will be the Falcon, a dependable family run-about.

The public hasn't been this excited about a new automotive advance since the Henry Ford introduced mass production to the auto industry and made cars available to the average citizen. If there was ever a perfect time to produce advertising copy that will truly resonate with the public, this is it. And you're the person who has been assigned to write that advertising copy!

You've got your pick of models, including ones you make up yourself, and your pick of manufacturers, again including ones you make up yourself. Make me want to buy your flying car!

You've got your assignment. As usual, we're playing by the unwritten rules of the Friday Challenge and for what's behind Door #3 and a free ride in my flying car once I buy it. Your ad copy is due at midnight, CDT, on March 18.

Now, get busy writing. And have fun!

The Friday Challenge is a casual writing contest run for fun, the admiration of your peers and the valuable feedback said peers provide. The goal is have fun and gain writing experience. Everyone is welcome to enter; why not join us?
