In this category, the response is always the combination of two things for which one ends with the same word the other begins. An example of such a response might be "Robert the Bruce Bethke," just to select an entirely random example. Bruce has proposed a Friday Challenge that is similar to the Jeopardy category.
Select two novels, movies, short stories, or any combination of those. Combine the titles and sketch out the resulting story. Bruce offered an example in the Ultimate Geek Fu discussion: "A Star Wars is Born, in which Luke Skywalker, a poor country farm boy who dreams of someday singing and dancing on the stage at the Mos Eisley Cantina. But then one fateful day..."
We're not asking you to write an entire story, just give us the overview. Of course, if your muse compels you to write a full story, go for it. Now get going, find your two sources of inspiration, and start writing!
As always, we're playing by the loosely enforced Official Rules of the Friday Challenge, and playing for whatever is behind Door #3. This is a major challenge so the deadline for this one is midnight central time, Thursday, October 7.
